Blendtec has so many features and colours to choose from that while shopping for its blenders can be exciting, it can also be overwhelming. We examined its offerings and selected five of our favourites to compare for you. We’ll add some of each’s positive and negative characteristics to give you a more complete image.
1. Blendtec Professional 800 Blender
The Blendtec Professional 800 is a high-performance blender with six pre-programmed one-touch paced cycles for crushing ice, making soups and smoothies, self-cleaning, and much more.
It has a one-touch LCD interface control pad with a countdown timer to ensure that your non-pre-programmed blends are compatible. The Professional 800 has 11 speeds that can be adjusted simply by rubbing your finger over the touch slider on the control pad.
This blender includes one BPA-free, impact-resistant WildSide jar with an extra-wide base for added stability. It has a volume capacity of 90 ounces, or 36 ounces when mixing wet or dry ingredients. It is finished with a vented gripper lid that secures all of the contents inside the container.
2. Blendtec Designer Series Blender
The Blendtec Designer Series Blender with WildSide+ Jar has eight speeds, so you’re sure to find one that works for you. It has a touch LED panel with seven different blending options as well as a countdown timer to let you know how much time is left in your blend. The housing also has internal baffling to suppress noise, but it isn’t as powerful as the Professional 800’s stealth technology.
The proprietary stainless steel forged blade on this Designer Series Blender is 80 percent thicker and ten times heavier than any other blender blades on the market. The blades also have wings to assist in the development of extremely smooth blends. The fact that these blades are dull is the coolest thing about them. There will be no more cuts on your fingertips or missing bits from your spatula.
3. Blendtec Total Classic FourSide Jar Blender – Best Value
The Blendtec Complete Classic Original Blender with FourSide Jar has six pre-programmed cycles for famous foods and a ten-speed manual control for less popular foods. It has the same proprietary stainless steel forged blade with wings as the Designer Series, but it does not completely chop frozen foods or foods with skins, such as apples or grapes.
Even if your food is a little chunky, it is blended in a BPA-free four-sided container with a total volume of 75 ounces and the capacity to blend up to 32 ounces of your favourite foods, whether wet or dry. The only disadvantage of this container is that it is made of plastic and vibrates violently when mixing. It would be much more durable if it were made of a more substantial material.
4. Blendtec Total Classic Blender with WildSide+ Jar
The Blendtec Complete Classic Original Blender with WildSide+ Jar has six pre-programmed cycles for commonly prepared foods and ten manual speed settings for less regularly prepared foods. It has the same thick stainless steel forged blade with wings as the other two blenders, but it lacks the ability to liquefy frozen or large chunks of food.
5. Blendtec Blender Connoisseur 825 Professional
The Blendtec Connoisseur 825 Professional Blender features 30 one-touch blending cycles and a new BPA-free, impact-resistant container with a vented gripper cover. The five sides of this jar are designed to automatically draw the ingredients toward the blade. It has a volume of 90 ounces and a blending capacity of 36 ounces.
